Ingredients - Potato 4
- Onion 2 (big)
- Garlic and garlic paste 3 tbsp
- Tomato 2
- Green chili 4
- Cumin seed 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder 2 tbs
- Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Steps of preparation - Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker or in a microwave. It should not be completely boiled. It should be kind of half boiled.
- Peel off potatoes and cut them it into two pieces.
- In a pan heat some oil and deep fry all potatoes. Keep it aside.
- Leave some oil in the pan. Add cumin seed, cinnamon stick and half finely chopped onion. Fry it for 2-3 minutes.
- Meanwhile grind rest onion and green chili in a mixer grinder. Add this paste to the pan. Fry it 6 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic paste to it. If you don't have ginger garlic paste you can grind garlic and ginger along with onion.
- Fry it for 7-8 minutes on medium flame.
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder to it and fry it till it releases oil.
- Make a paste of tomatoes and add. Cook for 6 minutes.
- Add fried potatoes. After 2 minutes add some water.
- Add garam masala powder and cover it for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with green coriander and enjoy with rice or chapati.
