Ingredients - Green banana(kachcha kela) 3
- Onion finely chopped 3
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Green chili finely chopped 2-3
- Cumin powder 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder 2 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
- Kitchen king 1 tbsp (optional)
- Peanuts 50 grams
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt as per taste
- Cumin seed 1 tsp
- Red chili 3
- Bay leaves 2-3
- Dalchini, nutmeg 1-2
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Gram flour(besan) 1 cup
- Coriander leaves
Steps of preparation Cut kela into two pieces and boil it in a pressure cooker. Turn off the gas after 1 whistle. Peel off banana and mash them. Make sure it is dry. In a tawa, roast peanuts. Add cumin powder(1/2 tbsp), coriander powder, onion, green chili, salt to mashed banana and mix it properly. Add roasted peanuts and coriander leaves. Divide them equally in small balls. In a bowl take gram flour. Add salt, chili powder, and water to it and prepare a thick batter. In a pan heat some oil. Now dip the ball in the batter and deep fry. In another pan heat 2-3 tbsp oil. Add cumin seed, red chili, dalchini, nutmeg, bay leaves. Add finely chopped onion and fry it for 4-5 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste. Add all spices and salt to it. Fry it till it releases oil. Grind tomato in mixie and make a paste. Pour this paste in the pan and cook for 8 minutes. Add 1 cup of water and garam masala powder. Boil it 5 minutes. Add the fried banana ball to it. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot with rice.
Tips- Keep the gravy and fried banana ball separate. Before eating heat the gravy and put the prepared balls in it and serve. |
