Ingredients - 4 Potatoes (medium size)
- 2 Cups wheat flour
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp amchur powder
- Chopped coriander leaves
- Vegetable oil
Steps of preparation - Boil potatoes and mash them.
- In a pan heat 2tbsp oil. Add chopped onion to it and fry them for 2 minutes.
- Add grated ginger and and fry it for another 2 minutes.
- Add red chili powder and then add mashed potato.
- Now add amchur powder and salt to it and mix them properly.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix. Keep this stuffing aside and let it cool down.
- In another bowl take wheat flour. Add salt and 2 tbsp oil to it. Knead into soft dough. Leave it for 20-30 minutes to make it softer.
- Divide the dough and stuffing equally into small balls.
- Roll a ball into small puri. Put the stuffing over it. Close it from all side by your hands.
- Again roll it out into paratha. Heat a tawa and cook parathas by pouring some ghee or butter on each side of paratha.
- Serve hot with raitha or chutney.
Tips- Mash potatoes when it is hot to avoid getting it sticky. |
