Ingredients

  1. Kaddu(lauki, pumpkin)  1
  2. Finely chopped onion   2(medium)
  3. Finely chopped garlic    3 cloves
  4. Grated ginger  1 tbsp
  5. Red chili  2
  6. Bay leaves  2
  7. Cumin seed  1tsp
  8. Mustard seed  1 tsp
  9. Chopped tomato  2
  10. Coriander  powder  1 tbsp
  11. Red chili powder   1 tsp
  12. Garam masala powder  1 tbsp
  13. Vegetable oil  3 tbsp
  14. Salt as per taste
  15. Coriander leaves

Steps of preparation

  1. Wash and peel pumpkin. Cut it into small pieces.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat some oil. Add cumin seed, mustard seed, red chili, bay leaves.
  3. Add chopped onion and then chopped garlic. Fry it for 5 minutes.
  4. Add grated ginger and stir. Add cut pumpkin and stir.
  5. Add salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add coriander powder, cumuin powder, red chili powder and mix it. Cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Add chopped tomato. Cook for 2 minutes. Add garam masala powder.
  8. Add coriander leaves. Close the lid . Cook till one whistle or till done.
